Superintendent's Message on the Start of School
I have some important news about the start of the up-coming school year. Due to more than 100 days of delays, from union strikes, permitting delays and weather delays, we have had to push back the start of school three days, to Tuesday, September 7th, the day AFTER Labor day. All District 50 schools will have their first day of classes on Tuesday, September 7th. This means that teacher in-services will also be changed. New teachers will report for orientation on September 1st and all teachers and other staff will report on Thursday, September 2nd and 3rd. All District 50 schools will have Meet & Greet Open Houses for students on Friday, September 3rd from 1pm to 3pm. As always, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your understanding! Have a great rest of your summer!
